On October 12, 2009 the newly appointed Minister for Economic Development, Zurab Pololikashvili gave a reception to meet and introduce with the business community in Georgia.
The Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia started working out a new strategy for the development of Georgian economy, and with this intention Minister Pololikashvili held a meeting with Georgian businessmen.
The Minister said that working out an economic strategy that will use the possibilities of the country to its maximum, attract investments, employ people and create new means for these processes is important, thus it will become the basis of the welfare of the country. The Minister encouraged every businessman to stand together and cooperate in this process.
The Ministry formed a special team for working out the economic strategy which will also be supported by international experts and professional consultants. EU-Georgia Business Council and AmCham have been invited to participate in the preparation of the new economic strategy.
