The Eastern Partnership Summit held in Prague on May 7th confirmed the European Commission proposal from December 2008 to establish the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) to promote contacts among Civil Society Organizations and facilitate their dialogue with public authorities in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. The first EaP CSF meeting took place on November 16th-17th in Brussels.
To voice the opinion of the EUGBC’s and its members, the Council prepared a draft document outlining some practical measures to be taken for creating a reliable, sound institutional and legislative background for the facilitation of EU-Georgia trade and business relations.
Prior to submitting the document to the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, EUGBC shared it with the members and received individual suggestions, comments and proposals.
