Where and when to apply for visa?
How much does it cost?
What else should I know?
A. Documents required for application The following are the mandatory requirements for all visa applicants
There are different types of visa. Which type of visa you qualify for, largely depends on the purpose of your intended trip to Georgia. The following are requirements (apart from the mandatory requirements) for different types of visa. Private Visa (staying with relatives or friends)
The personal petition of the visitor. Business Visa (business, commercial purposes, attending a conference, exhibition or a trade fair, traveling as a journalist, or to work, etc.)
Transit Visa
Multiple-Entry (business) Visa
B. How to apply You can either apply in person. In this case you must visit the Consular Section of the Georgian Embassy during opening hours, or send your application by post. If you intend to apply by post, you should also enclose a strong, self-addressed return envelope, large enough to contain your passport, with first or second-class stamps sufficient to cover the return delivery attached.
C. When to apply Applications should be made not later than three working days and not earlier than three months from the date of your departure from your country of residence.
D. Visa processing time - Normally visas should be ready for collection the three working days during opening hours. Note: in some cases the decision making process can take up to 45 days. The consular service cannot guarantee issuance of any visa. The decision is final and irrevocable. Note: NO VISAS ARE NEEDED FOR US, CANADA, EU, JAPAN, AUSTRALIANS IF VISIT IS UNDER 3 MONTHS. fasdfsdThis page was last updated on: March, 2008 |
